Happy 2018 from Corpus Christi! This past month has been filled with joy and growth and new things for Ava to discover. Let's see what she has been up to...
Leelee came to visit for Ava's first Christmas, and they continued to get along very well.
Twas the season for matching pajamas.
Ava really enjoys baths. She hates going to bed, but the bath helps.
She likes to splash the water with her feet.
She does not like putting on bedtime clothes, but Kelsey must have been playing with her to distract her in this picture.
She has been much more expressive and smiley this month. She especially likes mornings.
She is also getting much better at intentionally grabbing at things.
We don't think she knows that she is posing for a picture, but somehow she does it anyway.
Most importantly, she has been sleeping extremely well, especially since she started daycare.
Both at daycare and at home, if you put a mirror above her she can entertain herself for a long time.
She does not appreciate books yet. We're working on that.
But she does appreciate her mommy.
She also hates hats but is okay with this bow.
We also had our first brief daycare-inspired illness. She never had a temperature, but she had some congestion and passed it on to us. Otherwise she seems to enjoy daycare! We got a spot in the on-base daycare much earlier than we expected, so she will be transitioning there in the next couple of weeks.
